It’s been a fun day.
1. Get kids and Monica off to school.
2. Go to church for covenant partner meeting, check up on the cleaning crew, go through the new filing system in the office.
3. Pick up the baby from the school and take her home for a nap…struggle with Melody for over 2 hours to get her to go to sleep.
4. Put Melody in car seat (waking her up after only 20 minutes of what should have been a 1 1/2 hour nap) and go get the boys. Swap vehicles with Monica.
5. Run to Walmart to pickup dinner and something to bake for Josh’s class bake sale.
6. Collect voice mail while preparing to eat for the first time since covenant partner meeting.
7. Run back to school to drop off baked goods and visit the school health fare. Have blood screening done. Find out I am following in my father’s footsteps and have bad cholesterol.
8. Spend rest of night trying to figure out how the screening could have been wrong. Come to conclusion it was right. Realize I won’t be getting out of exercise and better diet anymore. Realize wife will be saying “I told you so” for the rest of my life…again.
9. Take 30 minutes to explain to Ian that he doesn’t have to worry about dieing, just focus on living for Jesus.
10. Intend to post blog letting everyone know I may not be able to post anything over the next few days because of busy-ness, but figure since mostly just family members are reading this it won’t really matter anyway…spend blog time writing about day while defusing situation with church member over the phone.
11. Find some time to spend with Abba Father and thank Him that I even got to have another day…what a day.
In His grip,
Darrell B
